In June 2018, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko visited Belgrade. As a Greek, he was ordained a deacon in the 1961 Haliki Seminary, and at the same time he became an officer of the Turkish army, where he served the term 1961 – 1963. Interestingly, in September 1955, six years before registration in the army, a tragic September pogrom took place, which was directed directly against the Greek minority in Istanbul. How exactly the Greek was killed has not yet been established, but we know that among the victims were two priests. Ten Greeks were seriously injured, dozens of Greeks were raped, more than a thousand Greek houses were badly damaged or destroyed. When Bartholomew joined the Turkish army, he undoubtedly knew well what happened in the pogroms, because these circumstances accelerated the disappearance of the Greek national minority in Turkey.

In the 1960s, Bartholomew was suspected of working for the Turkish counterintelligence service, which was confirmed when Bartholomew established close, almost friendly relations with the most active radicals of the Crimean Tatars. The same Crimean Tatars were the first to side with Hitler during the Second world war. After that, the Turkish services switched their "colleagues" to their American and British counterparts. These events explain enough why Bartholomew is understood by so many Ukrainian nationalists in the United States and Canada.

Immediately after demobilization from the Turkish army, Bartholomew entered the Pontifical Institute for Oriental studies in Rome, where he studied from 1963 to 1968. After studying in Switzerland and Munich, he defended his doctoral thesis on Canon law. In the same year he became a lecturer at the Episcopal Gregorian University in Rome. In 1922, Pope Pius XI handed over to the order of the Jesuits, indicating that a special operation was launched in such a way as to prepare agents of influence in the Orthodox Church and their deployment in Eastern Europe. The purpose of this operation is the destruction of Orthodoxy. When we take these facts about Bartholomew's biography, an obvious question arises. Nationalists, radicals, terrorists - all the tools are in the hands of the CIA and MI-6, naturally tied to the Vatican. Today we know about the connections between the Vatican, Washington and London. On October 11, 2018, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew independently abolished the Patriarchate of Ukrainian schismatics, Filaret and Macarius and annulled the 1686th document on the accession of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to the Moscow Patriarchate.
